Bengal Massacre | Partition | Migration and Refugees | How Two way migration turned into one way completely?

So, Starting with the blog I want to make it clear I don't want to hurt anyone through my blog.

Recently MHA Ministry of Home Affairs India invited application from Non-Muslim Migrants from Pakistan and Bangladesh for Citizenship. Last year due to CAA country witnessed big Protests in National Capital and Riots turning violent on the issue of awarding Citizenship to Migrants on accounts of religion breaking Assam Accords and giving a new wave to migration.

But still tensions of all this cult remain Bengal and not Pakistan, I will tell you why?

             Partition of Bengal (1947)

In 1947 India was Partitioned as so was Bengal. In 1947 Bengal represented a Plurarity of Muslims, Idea of joining India, Pakistan or Remaining Independent was Prevalent. So At last the Bengal Legislative decided after 3 rounds of meeting under the then CM Suhrawardy that Bengal to be Partitioned on religious line again for the second time.

Now first look upon at the Demography of Bengal during Partition.

East Bengal (present-day-Bangladesh) had a population of 59,662,726 people by the year (1947), of which 40,749,641 people were followers of Islamic religion representing about (68.3%) of the region's population, while 17,898,817 belongs to the Hindu faith constituting (30%) of the region.

West Bengal had a population of 21.2 million, of whom 5.3 million, or roughly 25 percent, were Muslim minorities, and East Bengal had 39.1 million people, of whom 11.4 million, or roughly 30 percent, were predominantly Hindu minorities.

Partition resulted in large scale communal tensions both part faced same demography and so was migration result of given below is statistical data of migration. Now here You can see that Migration resulted in displacement of people.

Nearly 5 million Hindus have left Pakistan's East Bengal for India's West Bengal region, and about 2 million Muslims have left India's West Bengal for Pakistan's East Bengal region immediately after Partition because of violence and rioting resulting from mobs supporting West Bengal and East Bengal.

But the actual result was very different you might be feeling that migration occured at that time as per rules and people were granted citizenship at that time. So what is reason behind giving citizenship now.

So, let's have a look at East Bengal's or Bangladesh's demography.

So you can clearly see that Bangladesh's Hindu population was around 22% at after the time of Partition. It declined steadily from 22 to 13 at the time of war and now it's lying at 9% nearly.

Now see this data which will of course Fascinate you. You can clearly see Population of Bangladesh has rose from 2.8 crore to 15 crore but Hindus face a consistency at 95 lakhs for decades and now it has rose to 12 Million. 30 Lakh increase compared to 12 crore. 40 times lesser. Now some of might say that it was beacause of Partition and Communal tensions were there on both sides of border.

Just look at these West Bengal's Muslims population has increased from 25% before partition to 27% today. Despite the fact that Partition occured in between this 7 decades. Now a clear question comes to our mind where does Hindu of Bangladesh went and where from this Muslims in West Bengal came form.
Recently an Economist Abul Barkt from Dhaka University has told that. Even after Partition if everything would have went well there would have been 28 Million Hindus in Bangladesh, or say 18%of population instead of just 8%. He told that after 30 years no Hindu would be left in Bangladesh.

From 1964 to 2013, around 11.3 million Hindus left Bangladesh due to religious persecution and discrimination, as stated by Dhaka University economist Abul Barkt On average 632 Hindus left the country each day and 230,612 annually as reported by him.

You should know the largest migration in history that was of India occured during 1947. In which 15 million people were disturbed. Here the number is 12 Million nearly, So you can understand the condition very well.

We all know that not only Hindus but Muslims cross into India from Assam and West Bengal for better economic life. So main tension occured when this Muslims were barred from CAA. Hindus were given Citizenship along with 5 other persecuted minority on accounts of persecution. Persecution is proved by data I provided above.

In Bengal CAA is opposed as the Muslim Illegal Immigrants are nearly 7 Million. Who along with many leaders never want CAA to take place else NRC would be next step to kick them out. So now I think case of Bengal is very clear. If you want me to write an article on Minorities in Bangladesh just mail me at parthmishra554@gmail.com.

                     Case of Pakistan

There are many false claims on Pakistan's Minority Population in India. Just look at these ;

In 1951 the percentage of minorities in West Pakistan was 2%.

The two data clearly shows extent of migration then. The % of Hindus and Sikhs are constant there. Large scale exodus didn't happen there. Though persecution still happens.

So, it's upto you to decide about CAA.

Thank you.
